I found several references to similar issues in which external devices do not work after resume from sleep or hibernation and it seems not to be a hardware problem but an issue related to the operating system, prior Windows versions to Windows 10 have documentation about it and even Microsoft made patches available to resolve it, most of the issues I found were USB host adapter related and of course USB devices associated to it. I have been researching a lot about this issue and even my peers in other geographic areas have been trying to help with no results, they at least were able to replicate the issue once, but they couldn't make it happen again which doesn't really help. I just posted the following on this community thread: I just want to use my remote to turn on my NUC, log on to windows and use kodi media center with the remote. In my case the issue happens mostly when the device (NUC) has been powered off for a while like during night time.Īlso I'm not using any power saving options for any device in Windows nor am I using HDMI CEC. Shut down the NUC using windows shut down computer option. Verify if the remote is working in windows and check if the ir device is found in the device manager. So in my case the test method would be the following:įrom complete power off, use the remote to turn on the NUC. I control all my devices with a Harmony Elite remote from Logitech. In my case I can turn the NUC on from complete power off with the remote, but most of the times (not always though) the remote stops working and the device is missing from windows device manager as soon as windows boots up. I have my NUC hooked up to my projector (Sony HW55) and I'm not using CEC in any way. My configuration differs from the setup you tested.
